Sunday. The constant, soft drizzle of rain outside reflects the somber mood here at Crypticon. People are tired. Two straight days of zombies, killers and guts can do that to you. But Crypticon waits for no man and while it may be winding down it is not over yet.
A man across from me with literally red eyes nurses his Venom brand energy drink. A brave knight travels to and fro in the hotel lobby, his chainmail clattering with steady frequency. And while the audience may be smaller today (obviously they all had to hit up church) and the energy slower, the mood is still overwelmingly positive. For each person here, from the dude in clown getup and orange hair to the scantily clad booth babes booth babes downstairs. they are all entertainers. And they know even with hours left on this grueling schedule that no audience should go unloved, no customer can feel they didnt get 100% from these performers.
So the guy in red contacts downs his drink and heads back in. The knight in heavy armor continues to seek out people to pose with, and the booth babes keep looking pretty. For this is crypticon, and the show aint over til its over.
Also theres a really cute dog over by the massage table.
